The Role
As a Systems Administrator 1, you will be responsible for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of diverse IT systems. This includes managing IT infrastructure, performing day-to-day operations, and monitoring client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices to ensure seamless performance. You'll provide essential Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems. Your work will directly contribute to optimizing system operations and ensuring robust IT infrastructure. This role is 100% onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD.
What You'll Bring
- Technical BS and five (5) years of experience as a Systems Administrator; five (5) years of additional Systems Administrator experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Proficiency in implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT systems.
- Ability to provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Experience with day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
- Familiarity with configuring and managing UNIX and Windows operating systems, including software installation and network component configuration.
- Ability to implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Experience optimizing system operations, resource utilization, and performing system capacity analysis and planning.
Clearance Requirements
TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration (uncleared or under-cleared applicants will not receive a response).
