The Role
As an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), you will validate and verify system security requirements, establish system security designs, and implement information security architectures. You'll assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle, collaborate with technical experts, and communicate with program managers on security issues. You will also participate in agile team activities and ensure that hardware and software architecture meet security requirements. This role is 100% onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. 

What You'll Bring
- Technical BS with 5+ years of experience with Defense in Depth principles, and DoD 8570 compliance (IASAE Level 2 or 3). 
- Certifications like ISSEP or CISSP are a plus, as is experience with integrated security services management, information assurance for application development, penetration testing tools, and scripting languages.
- Security Expertise: You have a strong grasp of security practices, policies, and the Risk Management Framework, with hands-on experience in vulnerability testing using common tools like Nessus, NMAP, and Wireshark. You're skilled in configuring secure operating systems for desktops and servers.
- Technical Proficiency: You're familiar with hardware/software security implementation, communication protocols, encryption tools, and web services. You can manage multiple systems simultaneously and are committed to best practices.
- Collaboration & Communication: You're an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, capable of planning tasks, prioritizing, and discussing technical options clearly. You work well independently and as part of a team.

Clearance Requirements
TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration (uncleared or under-cleared applicants will not receive a response).
