The Role
As a Systems Administrator 2, you will be a key support for IT systems, encompassing implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance. Your responsibilities include managing IT system infrastructure, providing day-to-day operations support, monitoring, and resolving problems across client/server/storage/network devices. You'll handle Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem resolution, support hardware issues, and configure/manage both UNIX and Windows operating systems. This role also involves optimizing system operations, performing capacity analysis, and providing detailed analysis and feedback to stakeholders. Work is performed onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD with salaries for qualified candidates in the 118k-210k range.
What You'll Bring
- Technical BS and Ten (10) years experience as a Systems Administrator (five (5) years of SA experience may be substituted for a degree).
- Strong Linux System administration experience (configure, maintain, troubleshoot).
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, vSphere and Ansible are a huge plus.
- Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570 compliant certification (e.g., Security+) is required by customer.
Clearance Requirements
TS/SCI with Polygraph required. Please note, your latest Polygraph must be no older than 7 years (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). You MUST have the required clearance for consideration (uncleared or under-cleared applicants will not receive a response).
