The Role
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Architect with a strong software engineering background to collaborate with the Government customer on migrating critical operational capabilities to AWS Cloud infrastructure. This role requires demonstrable experience in the implementation and support of large-scale cloud systems and services on AWS, encompassing application rehosting and Cloud Native re-architecting. You will also contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of complex software systems based on documented requirements. *Total compensation for qualified candidates can reach $285k and our client is motivated to hire quickly.*
What You'll Bring
Technical degree and 20+ years as a Software Engineer on similar complexity programs
-Cloud Expertise: Extensive experience with large-scale AWS Cloud systems (rehosting to Cloud Native).
-Core Technologies: Strong understanding of microservices, containers, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
-AWS Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate on AWS architecture, design, and implementation.
-Security & Compliance: Experience with SSPs, accreditation, and cost optimization in AWS.
-AWS Managed Services: Knowledge of AWS managed services and Cloud frameworks (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform).
-Software Development Expertise: Deep experience across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, coding, debugging, integration, and testing.
-Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex software and cloud challenges.
-Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* **AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred but not required for an experienced candidate.**
Clearance Requirements
TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration (uncleared or under-cleared applicants will not receive a response).
Location
Work performed in a contractor SCIF in Annapolis Junction, MD.
