The Role
We're seeking a highly skilled OCI Architect to join our client's team. In this role, you will develop and design cloud strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on cost, performance, scalability, and security. You will design and document comprehensive cloud architectures, define migration strategies, and ensure optimal performance and security within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment. You will also collaborate with development teams, DevOps engineers, and IT operations to deliver seamless cloud-based solutions.
What You'll Bring
Develop and design cloud strategies aligned with business objectives, considering factors such as cost, performance, scalability, and security.
Study existing technology landscape and understand current application workloads.
Design and document comprehensive cloud architectures, including network diagrams, infrastructure components, and application integration.
Define Migration strategy to move applications to the OCI and develop architecture blueprints and detailed documentation ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
Design the overall Virtual Private Cloud VPC environment including server instances, storage instances, subnets, availability zones, etc.
Design the Cloud network architecture including VPN connectivity between regions and subnets.
Design the HA / DR strategies.
Experience in optimizing OCI infrastructure resources, such as compute instances, storage, networking, and databases, to meet application requirements.
Design & validate OCI solutions meet industry-standard security and compliance requirements with robust security controls, encryption, and access management measures.
Work closely with development teams, DevOps engineers, and IT operations to ensure smooth integration and delivery of cloud-based solutions.
Experience designing, configuring and implementing all aspects of the full stack architecture delivering innovative solutions by combining Oracle best practices, knowledge in IT product offerings, and business acumen.
Experience providing subject matter expertise to assist customers through difficult business decisions.
Recommends enhancements to meet complex customer needs.
Clearance Requirements
TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration (uncleared or under-cleared applicants will not receive a response).
