Our client is a certified woman owned small business established in 2015 in Columbia, MD. They specialize in cyber security operations and engineering, software development, data science and analytic development, security engineering, risk management, and cloud migration. The Role
As a Mid-Level Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Java-based software solutions. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software that meets client needs. The role involves working with modern technologies, troubleshooting issues, and meeting tight deadlines. The work environment is hybrid, offering a balance between remote and in-office work.
What You'll Bring
BS in Software Engineering (or a related field) and 5+ years of experience with a focus on Java and modern frameworks (Spring, Guava). Additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
Active Secret clearance
Strong Java development skills (Spring, Guava)
Experience with RESTful API design and development, Microservices architecture, and Agile methodologies
Experience with Linux and configuration management tools (Git, Maven, Nexus)
Security+ certification (within 60 days of hire)
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
Scripting (Python, Bash)
Big Data experience
Agile tools (Jira, Confluence)
Clearance Requirements
Active Secret clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.
Location
Hybrid schedule with 1-2 days/week onsite; work is performed in San Antonio, TX and Columbia, MD.
Compensation
Salary bands range from $130k-225k, commensurate with experience/degrees/etc.
