Our client is a certified woman owned small business established in 2015 in Columbia, MD. They specialize in cyber security operations and engineering, software development, data science and analytic development, security engineering, risk management, and cloud migration. The Role
This Senior Software Engineer role involves designing, developing, and implementing complex software solutions using Java and modern frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with a focus on backend development and API design. They should be proficient in Java, Python, and have experience with RESTful web services, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure). Additionally, a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with tools like Git, Maven, and Jira is essential. The role requires a TS/SCI security clearance and a DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification.
What You'll Bring
BS in Software Engineering (or a related field) and 5+ years of experience with a focus on Java and modern frameworks (Spring, Guava). Additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
Active TS/SCI clearance
Experience with Java, Python, and object-oriented programming in a Linux environment
Experience with RESTful web services, Microservices architecture, and configuration management tools (Git, Nexus, Maven)
Exposure to Agile methodologies
DoD 8140/8570 compliance certification (within 60 days of hire)
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
Distributed databases (NoSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr)
Scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
Big Data Platform experience
Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, GitHub)
Clearance Requirements
Active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.
Location
50% hybrid schedule with onsite work performed in San Antonio, TX.
Compensation
Salary bands range from $110k-200k, commensurate with experience/degrees/etc.
