About Our Client
Our client is a certified woman owned small business established in 2015 in Columbia, MD. They specialize in cyber security operations and engineering, software development, data science and analytic development, security engineering, risk management, and cloud migration. This client offers extremely competitive benefits: fully-paid medical benefits, 4 weeks PTO, 6% 401k, over 5k for training and pay for every hour worked. The Role
This Model-Based Systems Engineer role involves utilizing model-based methodologies to design, analyze, and optimize complex systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering principles, with experience in tools like Cameo, MagicDraw, or Rhapsody. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and create system models, ensuring integration into the engineering lifecycle.
What You'll Bring
BS in Software Engineering (or a related field) and 9+ years of experience. Additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
Active TS clearance (with SCI eligibility)
Active DoD IAT II Certification (Sec+, etc)
Experience with Java programming & unit and integration testing
Familiarity with data extraction, translation, and loading, as well as log formats (JSON, XML) and data flow and storage solutions (Kafka, NiFi, AWS S3, SQS).
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Experience with Python programming, NoSQL databases (Accumulo), Kubernetes, and Maven
Experience with cyber security and Agile methodologies
Clearance Requirements
Active TS clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.
Location
Hybrid schedule with onsite work performed in San Antonio, TX. Flexible remote work options are available.
Compensation
Salary bands range from $130k-200k+, commensurate with experience/degrees/etc.
