The work, and what you'll do:
This role involves developing and implementing data analytics solutions using Java MapReduce and Python. You will work closely with customers to create data-driven insights and prototypes. Additionally, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to maintenance. Strong big data and programming skills are essential for this position.
What you'll need:
- BS with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience. Equivalent work experience may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
- Proficiency in Java MapReduce, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), and related big data technologies (Hive, Pig).
- Experience with NoSQL databases (HBase, CloudBase/Accumulo, Big Table) and data serialization formats (JSON, BSON).
- Strong Python programming skills and experience with RESTful services.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and source code management tools.
- Experience with tech/team leadership, Atlassian Jira & Confluence, SIGINT analysis, Gitlab, Maven, and Agile methodologies.
Clearance requirement: TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration.
Location: Work performed onsite in Fort Meade, MD.
