The work, and what you'll do:
We're looking for a skilled Web & UX Designer to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for complex engineering projects. You'll be responsible for designing and developing websites using MediaWiki, a content management system. This role requires a strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and the ability to translate complex technical information into easy-to-understand visuals. You'll work closely with engineers to create tools that support their work. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to the success of a dynamic team in an employee-focused, collaborative environment.
What you'll need:
- BS (or equivalent experience) and 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering with a focus on Web & UX Design
- Proven expertise in MediaWiki, HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, Python, and SQL
- Strong understanding of UX design principles and user-centered design methodologies
- Experience working with scientific and engineering users and content/knowledge management systems
- Proficiency in additional programming languages (Perl, C/C++, Java), knowledge of containerization (Docker) and system administration (Linux) are a plus!
Clearance requirement: TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration.
