The work, and what you'll do:
Our client is seeking DBE's and DBA's to join their dynamic team on a long-term, highly visible contract that directly impacts the warfighter. In this role, you can expect to maintain database health through performance monitoring, backups, and ensuring standby databases are operational. You'll also design, develop, and migrate databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval to support applications. Lastly, you'll help translate requirements into database structures and collaborating on system architecture and optimization. The work is interesting and folks tell us the customer is great - with flexible LCATs and high-demand, you can expect interesting work, collaborative teams and compelling compensation.
Experience you'll need:
-BS + Ten (10) years experience as a DBE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required (experience may be substituted for degree)
-Experience with Oracle databases: This includes general administration tasks, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
-SQL proficiency: Ability to write queries to manage and manipulate data within the Oracle database.
-Scripting experience: Automating tasks or interacting with the database from scripts.
-Linux administration: Familiarity with the Linux operating system
-On-call Support: Willingness to participate in on-call support rotations for troubleshooting database issues outside of regular work hours (1 week every 3-5 weeks after the initial ramp-up period).
Experiences that you will make you stand out:
-Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and Oracle Data Guard
-RMAN backups
-Oracle Enterprise Monitoring (OEM)
Clearance requirement: TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration.
Location: Work is performed onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD.
