The Role
This role tackles the entire software development lifecycle, from analyzing user needs to designing, coding, testing, and documenting software solutions. The individual troubleshoots existing software, implements new features, and ensures efficient integration with other systems. They may also lead software development teams and contribute to improving development processes and documentation. This role is approved for at least one day of TELEWORK per week.
What You'll Bring
BS + seven (7) years of experience as a SWE in similar roles; experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for degrees.
Experience with:
Linux CLI; writing Bash/Python scripts to automate administrative tasks and workflows
Java application development in a Linux environment
SQL technologies such as PostgreSQL
NoSQL technologies such as Elasticsearch
Containerization technologies such as Docker
Helm Charts and Kubernetes operators to automate the management of complex applications throughout their lifecycle
Git Version Control System
Nice to haves:
Experience with the Atlassian Tool suite (Jira, Confluence)
Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
Experience providing customer outreach and troubleshooting support
Experience with CI/CD concepts, principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab
Clearance Requirements
TS/SCI w/FS Poly REQUIRED for consideration. No CCAs, sponsorships or upgrades. Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration (uncleared or under-cleared applicants will not receive a response).
Location
Annapolis Junction, MD with up to 16 hours of telework (dependent on position).
